Chipping Campden snapshots

This post features a series of pictures which I took in the village of Chipping Campden in Gloucestershire during our recent visit. You can view this using the gallery below.

On the Monday the weather forecast was really quite wet so we left James and Emma in the holiday cottage with my Mum (who joined us on holiday this year) while Jan & I went to the most local town to get some milk and other essentials. While we were there I took some photos with my Pentax K5 with the standard kit lens fitted. Normally I would use the Sigma 18-125 HSM zoom as a ‘single lens for everything’ option, but since there was supposed to be rain about I went for the fully weatherproofed lens instead. As it turned out, there was hardly any rain but I suppose it’s best to be prepared.

The town of Chipping Campden was really quite quiet when we parked, and it turned out this was because most of the shops are closed on Mondays! Still we managed to find a Co-Op open and could get everything we needed.

When we returned I imported the pictures into Lightroom CC and applied my normal workflow process. The panorama was stitched together in Lighroom using the new Merge to Panorama option, and then the sky filled in using Photoshop for a couple of areas which weren’t in the original shots.
